Why Design Delulu Exists
Most businesses don't struggle because they lack tools. They struggle because they're forced to make important decisions with incomplete information.
After more than a decade helping businesses grow through design, SEO, marketing, and automation, I realized that creating more content wasn't the real solution. The real opportunity was building better systems for making better decisions.
That's why Design Delulu approaches this differently.
Instead of using technology to replace people, we use it to strengthen human judgment. Every system we build is designed to help businesses make smarter decisions, create more effective content, and continuously improve over time.
Content is simply the first application of that philosophy.
Our goal isn't to generate more posts. Our goal is to build growth systems that consistently produce better outcomes.
The Name
Why "Delulu"?
"Delulu" is internet slang for delusional — usually about believing in something a little too hard. We named the company after it on purpose.
Because every small business owner is a little delulu. You have to be, to believe your shop, your firm, your restaurant can stand out in a noisy world. We think that belief deserves a system behind it.
Your ambition isn't the delusion. Posting randomly and hoping — that's the delusion.
The Founder
Eric Barker
Eric has spent more than 20 years helping businesses grow online — and he's navigated every generation of digital marketing to do it: the website era, the SEO era, the social era, and now AI-powered growth systems.
Along the way: thousands of businesses served, hundreds of major brands worked with, former Google partner experience, and time leading a top-ranked web design agency. Across 15 years of social platforms, Eric's client campaigns have generated billions of views and built a cumulative audience of more than 100 million people — roughly 100 clients a year, with ten or more building million-plus audiences annually.
Design Delulu is all of that experience — websites, SEO, branding, strategy, AI, and automation — pointed at one problem: building growth infrastructure that turns attention into revenue.

The Foundation
Built on 20+ Years of Digital Experience
Design Delulu is new, but the foundation behind it is not. I've been building on the web since 1999, from early personal websites to Chicago web design, SEO, WordPress, restaurant marketing, and digital growth systems. Design Delulu is the next evolution of that work — rebuilt around AI, automation, content systems, and measurable business outcomes.
Before Design Delulu, I founded Blueprint Design Studio in Chicago, where we built websites, SEO campaigns, WordPress systems, restaurant marketing, and digital strategy for clients ranging from local businesses to larger brands. Blueprint held the #1 Google ranking for “Chicago web design” for roughly a decade — and #1 globally for “restaurant menu design” over the same stretch.
Before AI, I was already building the systems businesses needed to get found, trusted, and chosen.
