Sports Blog Media Network (Anonymous)

We built a high-traffic WordPress Multisite network for a nationwide sports media brand—one hub per sport (NFL, NBA, MLB, soccer, etc.), each with its own subcategories, authors, and editors. The platform features a headline carousel, tabbed “Recent / Popular / Most‑Commented” streams, photo and video modules, featured‑author spotlights, and sponsorship/advertising placements throughout.

Under the hood, we implemented custom post types and taxonomies for leagues, teams, and topics; role‑based permissions for writers, editors, and moderators; and a clean editorial workflow with scheduled publishing. The shared design system keeps every site consistent while allowing local tweaks per sport. We optimized for scale with caching/CDN, media optimization, and lightweight UI, and added social sharing and commenting with moderation tools. The network is integration‑ready for external data feeds (scores/schedules) and supports embedded highlights to keep coverage fast, visual, and timely.
